The Magicians deck.

In this post I would like to write about the Magicians deck published by Quareia. The deck isn’t based on traditional Tarot archetypes. Its a 81 card deck that is divided in 4 realms.

“The Divine Realm (red borders), the Inner realm (blue borders), the physical world (green borders) and the realm of death and the underworld (black borders). The further away from humanity a being or place is, the less human it becomes. This is reflected in the deck, and can teach a magician a great deal about how beings function and why.”

(from the Quareia website). The deck comes with a small booklet with a description of the cards. The illustrations are very beautiful and they are very straight forward.

The cards describe processes and beings that are connected to the path of the  magician. In the booklet is a layout from 16 cards one can use to do a reading. On line there are also two other layouts what one can use. Obviously one can use a layout one is used to it or design one for oneself. Last week I obtained the deck and I did wo readings with it now. Its a time consuming work to do a reading with 16 cards but its very, very deep. Remarkable is that the cards are very blunt in their meaning and it can be very confronting. So its definitely a very good tool to see all the currents that influences the magician and his/her own pitfalls and weaknesses. So its not for the faint hearted. The traditional Tarot is much more forgiving in some ways as it seems. The deck is also very good to do path workings or other meditations with certain energies related to the cards. I really would like to experiment more with this deck and do more readings in order to understand the depth of it.

I can recommend this deck for every serious magician, Neophyte or Adept, to purchase a deck and test it out. For me its a very refreshing way to use this divination tool compared with the traditional decks.

Quareia

Quareia. For those who are serious about starting with magic, or when experienced magicians would like to deepen and broaden their own experiences with some other angles I can recommend this site. Those people from Quareia did a great job by creating a curriculum that’s not based on Golden Dawn like groups and isn’t based on religious beliefs like Christianity or Thelema. The lessons are free. Its a Work of Love and all donations going straight back into their work to produce and publish more to help others on the Path. These days too many groups are after your money and are involved into politics and power plays. All those things are very distracting from the core business ‘to accomplish The Great Work’.

Pentacles & Talismans

Here you can see some more of the pentacles I made recently. They are engraved traditionally with a consecrated burin. If you are interested in more info about these just drop me an email: parusha777@yahoo.com
