Solomonic Magic pentacles.

On the pictures you can see the 5th pentacle of the Moon and the 5th pentacle of Mars. They are from the Greater Key of Solomon and as such very powerful pentacles. Even while I was making them I sensed the energies from them. The Moon pentacle have had an immediate effect on my dream the first night I drew it. I would like those instruments to add these specific energies to tinctures I made. I consecrate those instruments of Art in the appropriate manner.

“The Second Pentacle of Mars.–This Pentacle serveth with great success against all kinds of diseases, if it be applied unto the afflicted part.
Editor’s Note.–The letter Hé, in the angles of the Hexagram. Within the same the Names IHVH, IHSHVH Yeheshuah (the mystic Hebrew Name for Joshua or Jesus, formed of the ordinary IHVH with the letter SH placed therein as emblematical of the Spirit), and Elohim. Around it is the sentence, John i. 4:–‘In Him was life, and the life was the light of man.’ This may be adduced as an argument of the greater antiquity of the first few mystical verses of the Gospel of St. John.”

“The Fifth Pentacle of the Moon.–It serveth to have answers in sleep. Its Angel Iachadiel serveth unto destruction and loss, as well as unto the destruction of enemies. Thou mayest also call upon him by Abdon and Dal against all Phantoms of the night, and to summon the souls of the departed from Hades.
Editor’s Note.–The Divine Names IHVH and Elohim, a mystical character of the Moon, and the Names of the Angels Iachadiel and Azarel. The versicle is from Psalm lxviii. 1:–‘Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered; let them also who hate Him flee before Him.”

The Fourth Pentacle of the Moon.–This defendeth thee from all evil sorceries, and from all injury unto soul or body. Its Angel, Sophiel, giveth the knowledge of the virtue of all herbs and stones; and unto whomsoever shall name him, he will procure the knowledge of all.

Editor’s Note.–The Divine Name Eheieh Asher Eheieh, and the Names of the Angels Yahel and Sophiel. The versicle is:–‘Let them be confounded who persecute me, and let me not be confounded; let them fear, and not I.’

The Fifth Pentacle of Jupiter. – This hath great power. It serveth for assured visions. Jacob being armed with this Pentacle beheld the ladder which reached unto heaven.

Editor’s Note.– The Hebrew letters within the Pentacle are taken from the five last words of the versicle which surrounds it, each of which contains five letters. These are, then, recombined so as to form certain Mystical Names. The versicle is taken from Ezekiel i. 1:– “As I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim.” In my opinion the versicle should only consist of the five last words thereof, when the anachronism of Jacob using a Pentacle with a sentence from Ezekiel will not longer exist.

Thyme Spagyric tincture

Two weeks ago I started to make a Thyme tincture with fresh plant matter. I macerated for two weeks now and today filtered it. The colors are beautiful and also is the smell of the wonderful tincture. When the moon is waxing I start to make the salts.

The nine stages of meditation

9-stages-samatha-meditation

Here follows a text wherein the stages of meditation. I quote the whole text since its clear and very helpful. For me this shamatha practice is the basis of my daily activities.

The Tibetan word for Shamatha meditation means calm abiding or Shinè. The practice of Shamatha meditation develops the ability to focus the mind in single-pointed perfect concentration and is a prerequisite for the development of vipashyana or analytical insight meditation. Shamatha meditation should ideally practice in an isolated place and one should seat in meditation posture of Vairochana Buddha. The object of concentration is usually the image of the Buddha or a deity. The illustration of the development of mental tranquility is brilliantly depicted in this thangka in nine progressive stages of mental development which are obtained through the six powers of study, contemplation, memory, comprehension, diligence and perfection. The first stage is attained through the power of study and or hearing. The monk fixes his mind on the object of concentration. Here a monk chasing, binding, leading and subduing elephant whose colour progresses from black to white. The elephant represents the mind and its black colour the gross aspects of mental dullness. The monkey represents distraction or mental agitations, and its black colour, scattering. The hare represents the more subtle aspect of sinking. The hooked goad and lasso which the monk wields represent clear understanding and mindful recollection. The progressive diminishing along the path represents the decreasing degree of effort needed to cultivate understanding and recollection. The five sense objects represent the five sensual source of distraction.
The details are as follows; As mentioned above, the monkey represents mental agitation; its black colour distraction. The monkey at the first runs a wildly, leading the elephant. The second stage is attained through the power of concentration. This is achieved by lengthening the periods of concentration on the objects. The five senses of touch are objects of distraction. Beginning at their heads, the elephant and monkey begin to turn white. This shows the continuous progress in fixing and holding the objects of concentration.

The third and fourth stages are attained through the power of memory or recollection. The monk lassoes the elephant fixing the wandering mind on the object. The hare, which now appears on the elephant’s back, represents the subtle aspects of sinking. Here one is able to differentiate between the gross and subtle aspects of sinking. The elephant, monkey, and hare look back; showing that having recognized these mental distractions, the mind turns back to these mental distractions, the mind turns back to the object of concentration. The meditator holds a clear and detailed conception of the object.

Attainment of the fifth and sixth stages of meditative absorption is achieved through the power of clear comprehension. The monkey now follows the elephant; the arising of distraction diminishes. Even the arising of virtuous thoughts must be perceived as a distraction from the object of concentration. The monk hooks the elephant with his goad; the mind is stopped from wandering by clear understanding. The mind is controlled. The hare disappears and the mind is pacified. The seventh and eighth stages are attained through the power of energetic perseverance. The monkey leaves the elephant and now squats behind the monk in complete submission. However there are still slight traces of black; this shows that even the subtlest sinking and scattering may continue to arise. Should they begin to arise they can be eliminated with the slightest effort. Now the monkey disappears and the elephant becomes completely white. The mind can now remain continually in absorption on the object of concentration, Single-pointedness of mind. The ninth stage of mental absorption is attained through the power of perfection. Perfect equanimity, the path has ended and elephant is at rest. From the heart of the meditating monk emanates a rainbow like ray. The monk rides the elephant; the attainment of shamatha. Riding the elephant across the rainbow; mental bliss. The monk wield the flaming a sword of perfect insight, and rides triumphantly back along the rainbow; samsara’s root is destroyed by the union of shamatha and vipashyana with emptiness as the object of contemplation. Control of the flame supreme mindfulness and understanding represents the ability to examine the sublime meaning of shunyata.

The upper part of the illustration, where the rainbow emanates from the monk’s heart, represents the tenth and eleventh stages of transcendental mental absorption. The tenth stage of bodily and mental bliss is symbolized by the monk riding the elephant. The eleventh stage is represented by the monk riding the elephant back across the rainbow. From the monk’s heart emanates two dark rainbows, which the monk is just about to cut asunder with his flaming sword of wisdom. There two rainbows represent karmic hindrances and mental illusion, and the obscurations of the instincts of mental distortion.

Syrian Rue

In this experiment I made a tincture from the sacred herb Syrian Rue. Its a very magical herb with many ways of using it. The colors are amazing and very bright. The pictures do no justice but very nice to look at.

Big sting Nettle Spagyric tincture.

Big Nettle

Here you can see in the gallery the process of making the Nettle spagyric tincture. I picked them myself nearby the place I live. Nettles have an amazing healing quality rich on iron and is a blood purifier. For the sake of this special plant and my respect for it I share this on my blog. The process is more or less the same as in other processes I showed on my blog.

The experience with this tincture after the first test is that it gave me a lot of energy. In a very natural but very clear way.

The magic circle.

In many traditions it very common to use a magical circle to make clear to the spirit world, the working space for the practitioner.

John_William_Waterhouse_-_Magic_Circle

In Liber ABA Part 2 is stated concerning the magical circle:

“The Circle announces the Nature of the Great Work.

Though the Magician has been limited in his choice of room, he is more or less able to choose what part of the room he will work in. He will consider convenience and possibility. His circle should not be too small and cramp his movements; it should not be so large that he has long distances to traverse. Once the circle is made and consecrated, the Magician must not leave it, or even lean outside, lest he be destroyed by the hostile forces that are without.

He chooses a circle rather than any other lineal figure for many reasons; e.g.,

1. He affirms thereby his identity with the infinite.

2. He affirms the equal balance of his working; since all points on the circumference are equidistant from the centre.

3. He affirms the limitation implied by his devotion to the Great Work. He no longer wanders about aimlessly in the world.

The centre of this circle is the centre of the Tau of ten squares which is in the midst, as shown in the illustration. The Tau and the circle together make one form of the Rosy Cross, the uniting of subject and object which is the Great Work, and which is symbolized sometimes as this cross and circle, sometimes as the Lingam-Yoni, sometimes as the Ankh or Crux Ansata, sometimes by the Spire and Nave of a church or temple, and sometimes as a marriage feast, mystic marriage, spiritual marriage, “chymical nuptials,” and in a hundred other ways. Whatever the form chosen, it is the symbol of the Great Work.”

My personal view on the matter is this. Many practitioners using a physical circle painted on cloth or drawn with chalk on the floor or drawn in the sand. Which is fine and nice to do but for the serious modern practitioner not required as such. All considering this its in my view very important, or better, the most important, that one ‘is’ already a magic circle, realized it. By doing all the groundwork one isn’t very vulnerable any more against unwilling spirits.

What do I mean by this? What I mean is that when we are purifying our lower part (lower binary (Ruach and Nephesh), our lower self and submit it to our  Holy Guardian Angel one is already radiating and this is in my view the ‘true’ magic circle. No lower entity or negativity can enter or carries away the practitioner with negative thoughts and deeds. The building blocks of this circle of light is the right motivation, a clear view on the matter, mastering of  our  thoughts, be aware of his/her own lower  mind and is under guidance of the Holy Guardian Angel.

I know cases in which people think when they only use a physical circle it will protect them from harm of the ‘lower’ spirits they work with. Yes.., during the ceremony, but afterwards when the circle is down it bites them in the ass. Since the personality of the practitioner doesn’t deserve respect of the spirit world when not properly trained and ethically evolved . This explains that in many cases people evoke all kind of spirits for their pleasure or sensation end up in all kind of misery. So its more then important to work on ones personalty, purifies oneself (doing daily rituals like the LBRP or Star Ruby) , better control of ones mind, be more selfless, more compassionate,  more noble etc  in order to built a real magic circle of light. By the power of realization (what means actualizing a real circle of light)  negative energies instantly were transformed or banned.  Working hard being disciplined , becoming  a better person and realize the Inner God is the best magical circle one can have.

Fennel Spagyric tincture.

Here you can see the process of the Fennel seed spagyric tincture process. The result is a very powerful tincture that works immediately. I was impressed by its effectiveness and beautiful green color. I made this tincture before but then it had a light amber color and was less potent.

Quotes on Salts.

Some quotes about our Salts. From Page 68 ” The Hermetic Tradition from Julius Evola” A current book I’m studying and reading now. Very inspiring!
” Without Salt we cannot make the Philosopher’s Stone” … the dregs are the what remains after the spirit has extracted that is to say, they are the body, form which is also taken among other possible meanings, the symbol of the ashes – by analogy, that is as residue without any more Fire. But the surprising thing is that “dregs” “ashes” “remains” alike are valued as something precious that the “Son of the Art” must guard against underestimating and throwing away, because it is precisely from them it is declared – that the Gold is made, or rather the ashes are the Gold, not the vulgar Gold but the philosophers Gold.”
And d’Espagnet says: “The earth at the bottom of the cup is the true mine of the Philosopher’s Gold, the Fire of Nature and Heaven.”
Boehme says “Paradise is still in this world, but man is very far from it, so long as he fails to regenerate himself. And this is the Gold hidden in Saturn”.

Thus  we see that the ashes from the pit of hell transformed into the purest Gold of the Philosopher’s. Here is a great secret of life involved in it as well.

Inspirational quote.

The Proper alchemist have always laid down ethical and spiritual conditions for their operations. In view of their living sense of nature, their ideal world is presented as inseparable from that other – which we can call Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, Qabalah and theurgy- anything but chemistry. ” (Page xvi preface)
