On Alchemical Work

Some thoughts concerning Alchemy. Many think that doing advanced alchemical work is making them advanced alchemists. But I think that’s not the case, its vice versa, it’s the real alchemist that makes relative simple work advanced. This can be applied to many things in life.

Psychology and esoterism


Psychology and esoterism. These days its very common that people tend to confuse mundane therapy with a esoteric Path. I think that the main issue is that it is a lack of true understanding the esoteric Path what it means and what it implies. Many think therapy will help them to progress on the esoteric path. This will be not the case since starting this path one should have the basics in order. I know many are drawn to it to solve personal issues and hope to find their answers in it.

When one follows a true esoteric path issue will come up and one should deal with it in order to progress. Unforunately many will be in more throuble then before they began on the esoteric path. And then blame the path for it. Psychology is just scratching on the surface of reality and just start to discover matters that are known for thousands of years to the inner traditions. The world is much bigger then modern psychology. A better approach is in my humble oppion to start solving issues as such (with or without psychology) and when one is strong enough really start on an esoteric path. When used wisely psychology can be helpful but only initially.

Magical Orders and groups

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Concerning Magical and mystical orders. I wrote the following in a facebookgroup after a question about  what group or order would be the best choice.


Its important to remember that all Orders and groups are vehicles on the Path of Return, or the Great Work so to speak. As with everything in life it all depends on your own personal effort and dedication to the Work how one progress. Sometimes one needs an order to learn sometimes an individual teacher, some both or a mix with different other groups too. It is very depended on the nature of your own mindset and what works for you. Orders and groups are not a matter of good or bad, its more a question about what one should learn in our mundane life and on the path of occultism and how to integrate  and balance in our daily lives. Sometimes we need a so called ‘bad’ group in order to grow and sometimes a so called ‘good’ group. The question is, what makes it good or bad? No one can say actually. So you have to discover for yourself. Its a part of the process as well.
Taking steps on the path of occultism (magic mysticism etc) is not something that should be taken lightly. The first thing one should do is have everything in balance with your mundane life. Many people tend to go to groups or try to practice magic with a messed up life and mind, or just one of those. When this is the case this Path is dangerous since it will not help really. On the contrary it sucks people deeper into problems. This is what I see very often, or people tend to inflate their ego as big as our universe and claim they are the only ‘right’ order or group. There are hidden groups on other planes and when one is evolved enough after many years of testing and trials they will reveal themselves to the aspirant. But first real hard work has to be done in all our aspects of our being. No part of the foundation of the pyramid may be forgotten.”

We should take this quote from the preliminary section  from the Holy book of Thelema seriously into consideration. And deeply meditate on that. This text every time shows its value to me and open my eyes and peel away my illusions.

Whosoever knows any member of that Order as such, can never know another, until he too has attained to mastery.

Love is the law, love under will.

The magic circle.

In many traditions it very common to use a magical circle to make clear to the spirit world, the working space for the practitioner.


In Liber ABA Part 2 is stated concerning the magical circle:

“The Circle announces the Nature of the Great Work.

Though the Magician has been limited in his choice of room, he is more or less able to choose what part of the room he will work in. He will consider convenience and possibility. His circle should not be too small and cramp his movements; it should not be so large that he has long distances to traverse. Once the circle is made and consecrated, the Magician must not leave it, or even lean outside, lest he be destroyed by the hostile forces that are without.

He chooses a circle rather than any other lineal figure for many reasons; e.g.,

1. He affirms thereby his identity with the infinite.

2. He affirms the equal balance of his working; since all points on the circumference are equidistant from the centre.

3. He affirms the limitation implied by his devotion to the Great Work. He no longer wanders about aimlessly in the world.

The centre of this circle is the centre of the Tau of ten squares which is in the midst, as shown in the illustration. The Tau and the circle together make one form of the Rosy Cross, the uniting of subject and object which is the Great Work, and which is symbolized sometimes as this cross and circle, sometimes as the Lingam-Yoni, sometimes as the Ankh or Crux Ansata, sometimes by the Spire and Nave of a church or temple, and sometimes as a marriage feast, mystic marriage, spiritual marriage, “chymical nuptials,” and in a hundred other ways. Whatever the form chosen, it is the symbol of the Great Work.”

My personal view on the matter is this. Many practitioners using a physical circle painted on cloth or drawn with chalk on the floor or drawn in the sand. Which is fine and nice to do but for the serious modern practitioner not required as such. All considering this its in my view very important, or better, the most important, that one ‘is’ already a magic circle, realized it. By doing all the groundwork one isn’t very vulnerable any more against unwilling spirits.

What do I mean by this? What I mean is that when we are purifying our lower part (lower binary (Ruach and Nephesh), our lower self and submit it to our Higher Self or Holy Guardian Angel one is already radiating and this is in my view the ‘true’ magic circle. No lower entity or negativity can enter or carries away the practitioner with negative thoughts and deeds. The building blocks of this circle of light is the right motivation, a clear view on the matter, mastering of  our  thoughts, be aware of his/her own lower  mind and is under guidance of the Holy Guardian Angel.

I know cases in which people think when they only use a physical circle it will protect them from harm of the ‘lower’ spirits they work with. Yes.., during the ceremony, but afterwards when the circle is down it bites them in the ass. Since the personality of the practitioner doesn’t deserve respect of the spirit world when not properly trained and ethically evolved . This explains that in many cases people evoke all kind of spirits for their pleasure or sensation end up in all kind of misery. So its more then important to work on ones personalty, purifies oneself (doing daily rituals like the LBRP or Star Ruby) , better control of ones mind, be more selfless, more compassionate,  more noble etc  in order to built a real magic circle of light. By the power of realization (what means actualizing a real circle of light)  negative energies instantly were transformed or banned.  Working hard being disciplined , becoming  a better person and realize the Inner God is the best magical circle one can have.

On Alchemy.


What means Alchemy to me personally? The point of Alchemy is that it is an interplay of dynamics and knowledge of the inner and the outer worlds. This interplay leads to realisation in the outer world visible to the mundane world. This inner and outer dynamics is what the alchemist sublimates as a true Art. In that way the philosopher can perform transmutations and transfomations in mind and matter, changing the ‘energy field’ so to speak into a higher level of vibration. In this way it leads to understanding of the macro and micro Cosmic World in order to benefit all sentient beings in an altruistic/ selfless way under the supervision of the Supreme Being.

There are many ways to get inspired for the Great Work and music is one of them. When I hear this music I experience some real divine presence. Its goes very deep and it helps me a lot in my Work as well.


This music is for me divine. This goes beyond religion aspect

Inspiration like this music invokes devotion. Devotion is a very important aspect of the Great Work. It eliminate the grasping aspect of the mind so called ego. Its elevate the mind to a higher aspect of it and connect to the deep rooted Love we all have, unconditional Love for all sentient beings. Duality solves and we can view the universe as Oneness without boundaries, without pain, without suffering and general overview that is a glimpse of our divine origin and our divine destiny. The Lapis Philosophorum accomplished.


On Books

On Books related to the Great Work.

In our western world the intellectual abilities are very overestimated. They (intellectual abilities) are important as a servant but not as a master. I like books a lot but…..
Books are important but not the most important tools. Together with study, meditation and integration they have a part in it. The most important tool is ones own intuition and the ability to tap into our Higher aspects of the mind. Our inner guidance  under the guidance of the Supreme Being is the most important source of knowledge. Secondly in relation to this ‘experience’ with those matters are more important then books. Sometimes the intellect (Ruach) is an obstacle for real progress, it should be used to serve wisely. Books helps experience to relate but ‘doing’ the Work helps us to evolve on the Path of Return. Not by obtaining book knowledge. Wisdom isn’t from books, its from experience skillfully integrated into our daily life to benefit all sentient beings.
