Alchemical Christmas.

the_birth_of_jesus_by_lotta_lotos-d4k5hd0

This is the time for contemplation and with the story of the birth of Jesus in mind I was pondering on the symbolism from the approach of the alchemist. This is my personal view so it has no authority whatsoever nor I do any claims its valid. Its a personal interpretation from an alchemical point of view.

In the Royal Art great things and important processes develop from the darkness and in silence. Before the light of the sun is bearable for the end product involved it should be matured in the darkness like the process of incubation. Like Christmas it is the darkest part of the year an King has born in this part of the year. The silence and the darkness is needed to contemplate as well. Then a Star is seen bij the Wise of the East (the greater light the part the sun rises), those three Wise are the three higher principles of the mind. The Star as such is in Alchemy a sign that a process was successful. Like the Star Regulus of antimony. Regulus means ‘little king’. From this point on Joseph and Mary are the two lower aspects (lower binary) of our mind united that resulted in the birth of Christ the Savior. The ‘Lapis Philosophorum’ the medicine for all has come into life. In that aspect its the savor for the Adept to accomplish the Great Work and a step ahead on the Path of evolution. The accomplishment of our ‘inner Kingdom’  in order to help others on the path of evolution. Obviously many more things can be added on the symbolism involved into the scene and story of the birth of Christ.

Testimonials.

Its of great value that some people tested my Spagyric tinctures and Enses and I hope for more testimonials in the future. So I update this from time to time. On this page I post their experiences with them. I’m very grateful that people want to test them and I would like to thank them for their kindness also for taking the time to write about it.

I had been struggling for the last two months to come up with a satisfying premise for my first novel. Describing the whole story, while meeting the requirements of a proper premise, in a single sentence is a daunting task for many reasons. I was beginning to feel discouraged, and even despair, as sentence after sentence kept getting trashed, and nothing was coming up right.
One night during this time, I decided I needed to adjust my dosage of the Valerian tincture I had received from Peter. I also felt I needed to “tune in” to the energy of the Valerian, so I could perhaps get a reading of how much to increase, and also to connect with the energy and intelligence of the herb as well.
The image I got was an egg that was also the moon, breaking open, and a fine vapor pouring out. This vapour was symbolically the energy of the Valerian. I understood a few things at once: that I do not need help with relaxation or sleep. I am relaxed enough; perhaps too relaxed. I also understood that because of this the Valerian would help me with creativity instead. The vapor instead of putting me to sleep, would help fill me with dreams The number nine also came to me, in regards to how many drops I needed to take.
The next day, after having taken nine drops that night, the premise I had been struggling for just simply slipped into my thoughts as if it had always been there. I am certain the Valerian helped in a big way.

The art of the alchemist does not depend on the recipe or the sequence used, but the ability of the alchemist to create a product which brings about change beyond the chemical nature of the spirit.
This was bought home to me when I used tinctures created by the Dutch Alchemist Peter Van Suijlekom. I have made tinctures before with a limited degree of success, but it is not my path. Peter, who lives alchemy, takes these tinctures to another level completely.
Peter sent me several tinctures both for people and for myself that I knew and it gave me the chance to see these tinctures in action. In all cases, they were able to bring about changes, even in people who were extremely depressed about the illnesses they were suffering. In all cases taking of these tinctures were the beginning of them becoming well.
I personally used his fennel tincture. I have painful acid reflux which sometimes does not go away with normal treatment. It is not pleasant, it is the sort of wake up in the middle of the night vomiting sort of thing. I was reluctant to take the fennel at first because the idea of putting a strong alcohol in my stomach during one of those nights is not something I would instinctively do. I asked the spirit to heal the acid reflux and took the drops and it vanished completely. It has done so every time I have had a bad attack.
A student of my was suffering from depression and found that she started to get a handle on her problems when she took Peter’s Melissa tincture.
On the whole I think that there is definitely something in the tintures that Peter creates.

Magic Order of the Aurora Aurea.

A while back, Peter kindly mailed me a tincture of Fennel, which as many know is goverend by Mercury. Initially, I found the effects of the spagyric to be so sublte as to seem almost imperceptable, however, after a few weeks, that would change.

First, I must remark that the flavor of the fennel spagyric is wonderful. It has the most full and rounded flavor of fennel, just as good as eating fresh-picked seeds from a thriving plant. After a few weeks of taking the tincture, I began to notice that my thinking became much more clear and lucid, along with a sense of having “greater space” in my head. It also seem liked all Mercurial activities I’d engage in were enhanced, particularly writing, speaking, practicing magic. In fact, I will often take the fennel tincture in conjuction with ritual magic, sometimes taking it before to see how it affects my perceptions, or immediately after as a sort of magical apertif. I also tend to use more of it on Wednesdays to welcome in Mercury’s energy during his day.

On a medicinal level, I find the actions/energetics of the fennel have been beneficial. As a carminative, I’ve always enjoyed the flavor and effects of fennel, and this tincture all the more so. It seems to help assist my digestion of food, before or after, and helps to expel wind (as old herbalist referred to gas). Dosage wise, I’ve been taking between 7-13 drops 1-2x a day, and on Wed. 3x a day.

I look forward to getting know fennel and her governing spirit better in the months to come with the help of this excellent spagyric preperation.

Thank you, Peter!

“Mr. Van Suijlekom alchemical work is outstanding. It took me some time to convince him to let me test his well crafted tinctures. I did not regret having done, as I have had very rich interior / spiritual experiences since beginning my one drop every night regime. Besides a calm and relaxed mood, this tinctures clean in a very harmonious way the psyche. Which is good, as we all have work to do and do not want to go through aggravating circumstances while fulfilling our daily responsibilities. I hope that Mr. Van Suijlekom will continue with his good work for many years to come ” – M. P. Cotto.

On Initiation.

elitefon-ru_8441

THE PRELIMINARY LECTION
In the Name of the Initiator, Amen.
In the beginning was Initiation. The flesh profiteth nothing; the mind profiteth nothing; that which is unknown to you and above these, while firmly based upon their equilibrium, giveth life.
In all systems of religion is to be found a system of Initiation, which may be defined as the process by which a man comes to learn that unknown Crown.
Though none can communicate either the knowledge or the power to achieve this, which we may call the Great Work, it is yet possible for initiates to guide others.
Every man must overcome his own obstacles, expose his own illusions. Yet others may assist him to do both, and they may enable him altogether to avoid many of the false paths, leading no whither, which tempt the weary feet of the uninitiated pilgrim. They can further insure that he is duly tried and tested, for there are many who think themselves to be Masters who have not even begun to tread the Way of Service that leads thereto.
Now the Great Work is one, and the Initiation is one, and the Reward is one, however diverse are the symbols wherein the Unutterable is clothed.
Hear then the history of the system which this lection gives you the opportunity of investigating.
Listen, we pray you, with attention: for once only does the Great Order knock at any one door.
Whosoever knows any member of that Order as such, can never know another, until he too has attained to mastery.
Here, therefore, we pause, that you may thoroughly search yourself, and consider if you are yet fitted to take an irrevocable step.
For the reading of that which follows is Recorded.

From the Holy books of Thelema Liber LXI vel Causae.

What follows is a  personal view about the subject. Initiation is a word that one sees/hears often in all kind of mystical and magical communities. However it is used to describe a process that can mean different things. Traditionally the word refers to a new start, a new process, its a process of ‘going’. As far as I see it there are different types of initiations.

  • Initiation in daily life. Dealing with daily obstacles.
  • Initiation into a group/ community as a new member or as a member that is progressing within this group.
  • Initiation into a certain current/ energies (magical/ mystical/ cosmic)
  • Initiation as a inner process that brings the individual into a new level of being and consciousness. Dealing with ones ‘inner world’ so to speak.

The last one the development of ones inner process and obtaining a new way of looking at life is the main goal of initiation. The types described before that can cause this inner process to develop but isn’t necessary the case. They all should be one and acting as one. Actually very often this is not the case at all. As long as the ego is in charge and when the individuals aren’t truly initiated this will not happen. This explains the many issues in all kind of groups and orders. When transformed, initiation has taken the right effect. Transformation is a key word so to speak. The raising of the vibration levels.

The crisis that a real initiation causes is often many people don’t understand. A feeling of dispair, confusion etc are natural effects that should be overcome by the candidate. Facing oneself and understand ones shadow is what should be done and what is very difficult for many people.  This real change of ones inner condition also cause a real change in the outer condition and can cause crisis on that level as well. When the person in question is coping with it as it should be he/she will be ‘reborn’  and then initiation really occurred. In the old days an initiate is also called a ‘second born’. The same proces the alchemist is applying to the work he/she does when making alchemical substances. Tinctures for example are going through the same process and inside the alchemist this is happening as well. Alchemical substances are working as an initiator as well when it triggers something in the person one should develop or pays attention to it. Or amplifying certain parts of ones character in a good or a bad way. That is why it is important to be very cautious by taking these substances especially when a certain level of maturity is required.

In many traditions the final initiation is happening at the moment of death. Then one should be applying everything one has learned in the present incarnation in order to evolve on the Path of Return. In that sense death is a real initiator that put ones life in the right perspective like any real initiation does during ones lifetime. It put our priorities straight and learn us how we all are interconnected and part of the same. It shows us the reducibility of matters as power, envy, hate, greed, violence etc etc. These matters only drags us down into a pit that is hard to overcome when not properly cared for. Instead one should use the nobel and high part of oneself to transform death into life. Eternal life where duality as such is dissolved in order to help humanity to progress as a whole.

A personal note concerning books on these matters. Books are important but not the most important tools. The most important tool is ones own intuition and the ability to tap into our Higher aspects of the mind. Our inner guidance under the guidance of the Supreme Being is the most important source of knowledge. Secondly in relation to this ‘experience’ with those matters are more important then books. Sometimes the intellect (Ruach) is an obstacle for progress, it should be used to serve wisely. Books helps experience to relate but ‘doing’ the Work helps us to evolve on the Path of Return. Not by obtaining book knowledge. Wisdom isn’t from books, its from experience skillfully integrated into our daily life to benefit all sentient beings.

Effects Chamomile on my system.

Chamomile Zeeland

Here we picked the fresh Chamomile at July 17th 2014

Since I posted it on my blog I used the Chamomile daily to test it. I took 10 drops in the evening and 10 in the morning. It seems when I take it before sleep it induces very vivid visual images and nearly to lucid dream states. The first night just before I fell asleep I could mould images to my will when they came up. That will say, I could reshape then in whatever image  I wanted. Later this week my dreams were intensely vivid  and deep when it comes to images and the impacts of them. Also as expected the tincture helps to calm down the whole physical system and mainly the digestion but it has an interesting impact on my inner world. I have to say I really have a good resonance with this herb and this tincture (also since it is related to the Sun and my birth sign is Leo also ruled by the Sun). The state of calmness is from a very different kind compared to the state of calmness induced by Valerian. I didn’t expected that it induces, in my case, that intense visual effects. Ora et labora!

Chamomile Spagyric tincture bottled.

This batch I bottled today. It looks very good, golden yellow as it should be with a very nice odor. Its a month ago I started the circulation. I want to experiment with the period of circulation and the strength of the tincture. So I only took 30 ML. The rest stays on the circulation warm plate for about two more months maybe even more. Perhaps I let circulate a part for 12 months and compare with this one.

H.P.B. Blavatsky wrote the following in the Voice of Silence:

The Voice of the Silence by H. P. Blavatsky
FRAGMENT I
THE VOICE OF THE SILENCE
THESE instructions are for those ignorant of the dangers of the lower IDDHI (1).

He who would hear the voice of Nada (2), “the Soundless Sound,” and comprehend it, he has to learn the nature of Dharana (3).

Having become indifferent to objects of perception, the pupil must seek out the rajah of the senses, the Thought-Producer, he who awakes illusion.

The Mind is the great Slayer of the Real.

Let the Disciple slay the Slayer.

For: —

When to himself his form appears unreal, as do on waking all the forms he sees in dreams;

When he has ceased to hear the many, he may discern the ONE — the inner sound which kills the outer.

Then only, not till then, shall he forsake the region of Asat, the false, to come unto the realm of Sat, the true.

Before the soul can see, the Harmony within must be attained, and fleshly eyes be rendered blind to all illusion.

Before the Soul can hear, the image (man) has to become as deaf to roarings as to whispers, to cries of bellowing elephants as to the silvery buzzing of the golden fire-fly.

Before the soul can comprehend and may remember, she must unto the Silent Speaker be united just as the form to which the clay is modelled, is first united with the potter’s mind.

For then the soul will hear, and will remember.

And then to the inner ear will speak —

THE VOICE OF THE SILENCE”

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

A beautiful piece of  writing and advice/teaching is in this text from the “Voice of Silence”. Many people on the occult path searching for so called magical powers (Iddhi’s). Or fancy powers to impress others or to manipulate others like in the Harry Potter movies. In our age of information pollution it seems people seeking for it more and more. Also because many people are awakening or experience their psychic powers.

The truth of this is that we all have those powers already within us. They are a ‘natural’ part of who we really are, actually we are already ‘perfect’ but we aren’t aware of it. The God in us. So in a sense they, those powers, can’t be obtained nor bought. They only can come up as a result of real spiritual progress. When the candidate is trying to put in practice noble thoughts and acts and is conscious what is going on those abilities come up. Also as a result of past lives people have accumulated those abilities already with them more or less manifest. (together with all kind of other talents) Since we all have are ‘god like’ “or god spark as Theosophists call it, we should cultivate noble actions and take responsibility for our thoughts feelings and actions. Those who seek plainly for these powers and want to  to obtain them or try to unveil so called secrets would be very disappointed.

There are many groups out there these days or so called guru’s who try to make people believe they can transfer those powers or even worse if they pay a lot of money for all kind of courses they obtain what they seek so earnestly. Or looking for the long lost secret to make the Elixir of Life or find the Philosopher’s Stone. Actually the Path as such is very dangerous in the hands of the people who are egoistically motivated since every form of egoism should be dissolved in order to be ready to control the forces of nature. In the first place we should be strife to be a better person for oneself and the world around us. Act in harmony with our True Will, To learn ‘how’ to care for oneself isn’t egoistical actually its an act of altruism because when one is an example and a embodiment of peace it’s automatically beneficial for others. This is also a gradual process since the True Will reveals itself in the process more and more. This is reflected in grades  in the A.’.A.’. system,  as land marks where we at. Every grade reveals a bit more from that True Will that is hidden in us. This is very visible in our actions or when one meet a real Adept or a Master like H.H the Dalai Lama, or H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and others. Even when we see a picture of them this peace and Wisdom can be felt. Same is true with so called hidden Masters or Adepts if one meet one of them one will know. Only when one is completely in sync with oneself, or in balance on all levels, and thus with the environment one is ready to receive the so called secrets. The so called secrets reveals themselves without obtaining, without striving without any form of clinging. These last characteristics are manifestations of the lower mind or the lower binary (The Nephesh and Ruach) . One should be more and more under the influence of the higher faculties of our mind, the aspects of our divine nature that never dies. This is for me the point, as far as I understand it so far, one is ready to make the Philosopher’s Stone as an Alchemist and to live the life of an Adept. At the end of the day these so called Iddhi’s are not really important any more and are viewed as just a by product of ones own evolution. That can be used with the aid of the higher aspects of our mind. Under the influence of our True Will.

Love is the law, love under will.

Asthma transformation part II

wpid-20140820_182830-1.jpg

Last night the transformation process came back in the form of a dream. Normally it very common to dream something about a process one is in. In this dream I was at home and I was coughing and I was short of breath near to an asthma attack. Then suddenly I have to cough very hard and some substance came out of my lungs. Two to be accurate. These two substances were colorless and  jelly like. It had the size of an apple. First I was shocked because I thought, wow is this coming out of my lungs? I showed it to my wife who was impressed too what came out of my lungs. The interesting past is that in the dream the asthma attack and the pressure on my breast was gone. Even more interesting when I woke up this morning my shortness of breath was gone as well. The last weeks I have had as I wrote before times I have to take Valerian tincture when I felt short of breath. This is completely gone since the dream last night till now. It seems something energetically has removed as well. I’m curious how this will maintain the coming time but it looks promising. I’m still very happy I don’t have to take Seretide any more and that my body cures itself with the help of my own tinctures and also some natural medication from my homeopathic doctor.
